Ranging in age from 22 to 60+ years, the Dan Morrissey group has been playing the lotto together as a work based syndicate group for several years before winning. The prize was presented to the sixteen winners by the Chief Executive of the National Lottery, Dermot Griffin. Dungarvan, country Waterford also hit the second largest lotto jackpot winning the prize of 16,717,717 Euros. In October 23rd 2010, the third biggest winning prize jackpot was sold in Donnybrook Dublin; it won a prize of 16,390,239 Euros.

The winner from Coolock Dublin on the 30th of July 2001 was not able to claim the prize worth €2,713,334 Euros. Usually the ticket will expire in time and if it wasn’t collected on time, it will no longer be given to the winner himself.
